Public Consultation

UBCO is developing an Integrated Rainwater Management Plan (IRMP) to responsibly manage the rainwater that falls on campus, and to sustainably accommodate the future growth of the campus in a way that respects natural hydrologic processes, protects existing environmental values, and manages risk.

The second phase of public consultation is now complete, thank you to everyone who took part!

UBCO’s Campus Planning and Development team, Sustainability Office, will now work with the consultant to finalize the Integrated Rainwater Management Plan which will be presented to executive for endorsement later this year.

Phase 1 - April 2016

In Phase 1, public consultation focused on presenting UBC’s current approach to rainwater management on the Okanagan campus, gauging the campus community’s understanding of rainwater management practices and generating ideas for rainwater management opportunities on campus.
