Non-regulatory Reporting

Non-regulatory reporting, such as disclosures aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, plays a critical role in demonstrating transparency, leadership and accountability on global challenges.

Though voluntary, these reports help guide strategic planning and decision-making, strengthen stakeholder trust and reflect our commitment to being a responsible and forward-thinking institution.

In 2018, the Canadian Government endorsed the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures recommendations for all Canadian organizations to support Canada’s commitment to the Paris Agreement.

UBC fully supports the adoption of Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures recommendations and is committed to producing annual disclosures to advance global market transparency.

The report is prepared by the Office of the Vice-President, Finance and Operations. The UBC Okanagan Sustainability Office contributes campus-specific data for these disclosures.
